The NYCBL has announced its 2019 all-stars.
The Crush have seven players representing the team in the all-star game. That's tied for the most in the league with the Syracuse Salt Cats.
Alex Flock made the team as a first baseman, batting .413 on the year with 31 hits, 20 RBI's and 3 home runs. Flock's 31 hits lead's the NYCBL.
Stephen Bennett represent the team at third base. Bennett is hitting .311 from the lead-off spot and has recorded 23 base hits.
Jack Lynch leads the NYCBL in RBI's with 23 and made the all-star team as a shortstop.
Dylan Nolan also made the team as a catcher. Nolan is batting .333 on the season and leads the NYCBL in triples with five.
Nick Pastore represents the Crush in center field, batting .311 with 23 base hits and 22 runs scored.
On the mound, the Crush has two pitchers selected.
Brandon Shirley, fresh off Tuesday's win over the Syracuse Spartans, was picked as a starting pitcher. Shirley boasts a 3-0 record with a 1.45 ERA and 20 strikeouts.
Cregg Scherrer made the game as a relief pitcher. Scherrer has not allowed a run in nine innings pitched and has struck out 10.
The all-star game will be played on July 8th at Yogi Berra Stadium in Montclair, New Jersey.
