WE ARE THE CRUSH!

Good morning Crush fans and happy Monday. In case you missed any of the college baseball action this past weekend, here is a quick weekend rewind of how our players performed.

DID YOU KNOW?

Did you know that LF Joel Vaske absolutely CRUSH’D IT at the plate this past weekend? He collected a staggering 8 hits in only 13 Abs, good enough for a .615 BA for the weekend!

  • Joel also drove in 10 runs and came around to score 8 more.
  • Of his 8 hits, two were doubles, one was a triple, and one was a home run.
  • Joel helped lead Kirkwood Community College to a 4 game weekend sweep of Lewis and Clark Community College.

Did you know that outfielder David Bedrosian also hit a home run this weekend?

  • In Game 1 of a double header on Saturday, David hit a huge game-tying 3 run homer in the 6th inning. Pomona-Pitzer would go on to win the game 9-7 one inning later.

Did you know that Harry Deliyannis was a dual threat once again for the Sagehens?

  • As a pitcher: 3.2 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 1 K
  • As a second basemen: 2-4, 1 RBI, 2 R

Did you know that Oberlin college started their season last Wednesday (3/4)? Two current Crush players played extremely well for the Yeoman.

  • OF Lawrence Hamilton went a combined 6-for-16 (.375 BA) with 2 RBIs over the team’s first four games.
  • IF Alexis Castillo went 7-for-16 (.438 BA) with an RBI, 4 runs scored, and a stolen base over the same stretch

Did you know that shortstop Evan Minarovic continued his hot start to the season last week? His stats:

  • 5-for-13 (.385 BA), 4 RBI, 3 BB, 2 SB. Northwestern went 3-1 over this four game stretch with wins over UIC, Western Carolina University, and South Carolina Upstate.

Did you know that third baseman Alex Babcock collected 2 hits, one of them being an RBI double for Ithaca College on Sunday?

If you didn’t know, now you know!
